Wet and yukky here today. Perfect day for scrapping and catching up with friends. Missy is so excited we are going over to one of her first school friends places for the day. Lucky for me her mum is a scrapper.

Today has not been such a great day for me.

I went to see the dermatologist this morning, which was supposed to be to find out if I need laser treatment to the area next to my eye where the SCC (skin cancer) was removed a month ago.

Anyway she said that the skin cancer that was removed last month is actually in a different spot to the one that was removed a year ago...so
she thinks I may have multifocal skin cancer which means (in her words) I could have a whole 'archipelago' of skin cancers in the area.

If it is positive for being cancerous, then she said I have a couple of options, either radiotherapy.....at this point I think I had an out of body experience, I was sure she was talking about somebody else, till I snapped back to reality and realised that yes it is me who may need radiotherapy...or Mohs surgery, a very specific kind of micro surgery.

So now I am just waiting anxiously for the pathology on this biopsy....hoping like anything that it comes back negative! :?

Oh Ceci, that doesn't sound too good - will keep you in my prayers & hope the news from the biopsy is positive.

I've spent most of today at work, then picked up DD#2 & took her to the dentist to get a quote for getting five teeth removed (four adult & one baby). Apparently the baby is a lot harder to remove than the adult teeth (and will cost accordingly!). Anyway, he ended up removing two of the adult teeth while we were there - nice & easy LOL! The other three will be removed next Tuesday afternoon, then we head back to the Orthodontist for separators to be put on the following Wednesday, and braces get fitted the Friday a week after that! Very expensive business, I can tell you - but she'll have lovely straight teeth at the end of it all. At the moment they're overcrowded (hence having four removed) and the adult tooth that's supposed to push the baby out of the way decided to go the wrong direction, so it needs some help!

Should really do some DT work for Twiddleybitz, I've got a project on my desk that I started last week, but haven't gotten any further than undercoating so far! Perhaps I'll put some warmer clothes on & do a bit on that before it's time to cook dinner, will be curling up in front of the tv after that!

Fingers crossed for you out here Ceci.

Ouch about the dentist. I am so hoping Missy doesn't need to have any dental work.

Has been a nice day but wouldn't say quiet. Went over and caught up with a friend I haven' seen in ages. Her daughter and Asher were best friends from kindy through to grade one when she moved to another area. They had fun along with her younger brother and sister while Kirsty and I scrapped.

Thanks girls!

Oh Pepper your poor DD, ouchy...but yes it will all be worth it eventually. Both my girls have had braces, it's amazing how much it changes the whole look of their faces. Good luck with the DT work.

Sounds like a nice day Julie. :D

It is early days Ceci - whatever you do just take three deep breathes and stay +++. We will keep our fingers and toes crossed for you that it is nothing too serious and that you dont have to have any other treatment. Let us know how you get on
