Good Morning everyone.
Nice and cool this morning it is sitting on 12 degrees this morning, that's quite cool for Cairns, so I am enjoying it while I can, in a few days winter will be over!
It is a public holiday in Cairns today so I will have an easy day, thankfully. My very good friend buried her Dad yesterday and it reminded me very much of when my Dad died so it was a very tough day, a nice relaxing day today is just what I need.
I hope everyone is feeling well, have a lovely day.

Oh Trisha, thats sad for your friend and for you too....

We are lucky to get 12C in the 'heat' (lol) of the day! though i did sit out on my veranda this morning in the sun to eat breakfast and read the paper. Not sure what the temp was - probably about 6C, but the veranda is protected and the sun just beamed down, it was lovely. I just find myself every year wishing summer would come round.

Today is my day off, so will try get some housework done and get in the garden. I'm getting on top of my winter pruning now and things are starting to look good (bare but good!) The bulbs are starting to flower which puts a smile on my face.

staples and cody  eek. I forget what its like to have a toddler underfoot!

Glad my bulbs dont get eaten... I'd be furious!! The little 'eggs and bacon' bulbs are out (they look like little tiny daffodils) the bigger daffodils still have some time to go before they are. But when I see these first blooms...it gives hope that Spring will be on its way....... sigh.......

and then SUMMER! gosh knows we didnt get a Summer last time!

Good luck with the house planning. It is scary. LOL Ant...I've done it before and will never do it again ( but you have to do it at least once though!!) Its an 'experience'! :P hee hee!

Have a great day Lee-ANne, I'm sure it will all turn out fine!

Mandy Cody ate Staples on Wednesday he managed to squeeze his little fingers under his toy box and found a strip of new staples. He then started eating them by pulling them apart one by one anyway I hear him crying because I couldn't see him and what he was doing and then I look in his mouth and its full of staples so I take him to the hospital straight away because I was scared of the sharpness we get there and he's ok we get an x-ray (Which they didn't print out - apparently now at hospitals they only print them if need as they keep them all on file I was peeved because I wanted to scrap it!) anyway there in his belly is a handful of staples. They told me they will pass naturally and some have (I stopped sifting after 2 pops) and he isn't in pain and it's been 2 day but yeah he's definitely keeping me on my toes!!!

Oh no Ant, he's such a boy   !!! So glad he's ok. They're always on the lookout for mischief. My daughter doesn't give me half the drama that my little boy does ... although I've been told that will change when they become teenagers  .

Good luck at the Show today Lee-Anne :D .

Enjoy your day off Trisha & Mandy! I hope it's a better one for you today Trish xx

Still sick here & now DD is too ... off to the Drs this arvo. It looks like she has tonsillitis again for the second time this month :( .

OH GOOD GRIEF Ant!!!

what a shock to see them in his little tummy! i'd be scared of the sharpness too!! So good to hear they are coming out naturally with no probs. Oooh! I only had 'dead fly' eaters here!!! Ugh... let me tell you- they 'crunch'!!! ack... and trying to scrape them from a little one's mouth - almost nauseating!!! Just had to be vigilant!

I'm really hoping you feel much better soon Vicki and little Rache too. Its not fun. Hannah is on the mend now at long last.

Oooh Ant, it sends shivers down my spine just thinking of it. I'm glad Cody will be okay.

I'm cleaning here :( I've been putting it off cause the weather has been quite nice with the sun out each day (it is only 8 degrees though). But its crunch time if I don't want James eating random stuff off the floor. We managed one good week and now it looks like another tooth is appearing :( So some not so good times to be had.

I started one of the room challenges last night. Hope to get it finished after our shopping trip.
