Sorry girls late check in for me here.
Today so far I have scrapped and cleaned. Now having lunch and about to do some cooking before heading over to Craig's place for a movie afternoon and dinner.
As for this week. Short one for me here. I have Friday off as I am heading away retreating for the weekend. So can't wait.

Painting still
Had morning tea with one of my former students and her mum...was so lovely to catch up. Went over to friends place for tea last night...we all took a caserole each and shared... after packing up the main studio - getting mirrors off walls - broke one (sigh) took up the flooring etc etc... just got the office and our sets room to go - but dont have to hurry that one thank goodness. Paige did her week with NIDA and we watched her performance on Friday - its was fabulous... (very proud mama) other than that.... big week ahead... ballet comps here, living at theatre... then I'm off to Melbourne next weekend to work. Everything happens at once (another big sigh)
Better go back to the painting.... just finishing off the bathroom and next is the toilet. Choosing colours is HARD Already had one massive misjudgement with the 'glitterroom' and had to repaint - dont want to do that again! I'm usually preeeetty good with colour, but when I have a stuff-up - its always a fairly BIG one

LOL, yep, there's a photo of the 'pink' room!!! Conjure up in your mind..... 'BRIGHT' - truly thought if I just painted pink again I'd get away with doing less coats on the walls (still had to do two!!!)....WEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLL, I had to close the door, couldnt bare to look at it...so TWO MORE coats later - its all white! Truly, I shake my head and think 'WHAT was I thinking' ' AND ended up doing FOUR coats!!!
good to know that not even the experts are infallible Mandy We've done the oppposite - ended up at home with a large drum of paint that wasn't what we meant to ask for - but it looked great! Hmm perhaps the paint shop staff knew what they were doing
Spent the day with a friend at IKEA and walked out without buying anything I'm going to tidy up my craft desk tonight - it's disappeared under lots of bits and pieces. Looking forward to trying all those Friday night tutes and challenges.
Hope you had a good afternoon Julie. I stayed up and watched "The Departed" last night and am still a bit shell-shocked.
I miss Ikea & Aldi Helen! I often pop in for a browse when I'm visiting friends who live in Logan - but I don't think I've ever left empty handed!
I hope you enjoy your short week Julie - and your retreat! I've got a short week this week too. Dad headed home this afternoon after visiting for a few days (which was lovely!). Not sure what I'm doing tomorrow but I'm working an an album as a present so will hopefully have time to get some more pages done tomorrow.
Good luck with the painting Mandy, and I hope you get through your week (sounds like you're super busy!).
good morning! I managed both an early night and an early morning, which works for me. Have a bunch of chores to get through, and visitors for lunch and the afternoon, so no messing with paints and mists for me. Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning all. I'm all set for work today but not too sure if I will end up going in. All depends on how Missy is after she comes out of the shower. She was sick last night and although she hasn't been again she still says her tummy isn't quite right. Knowing my girl though she may just be saying that so that she can stay home.
Morning all..I feel shattered. Been a busy weekend..trying to get a quilt finished (one of my sewing students is making one as a gift for her sister's 70th next week) plus I've got the kids wanting a puppy so trying to get my head around the possibility of having the pitter patter of little feet in my house.
We are changing to optic fibre internet/phone today. I hope there won't be any hiccups. If I "disappear" you'll know why. Started my art course last week and been stressing a bit a bout that (with the whole quilt thing but the lady who is making it has taken it home to sew on the binding so it's all but finished now..yay!)
Have a nice day!

morning all, wet and very windy here the last few days but seem to have missed the storms perth and south getting, so wasn't pleasant playing hockey on sunday. how are you where you are Julie? and any other perth ladies?
perfect scrapping weather though just need to do some hockey treasurer stuff first and clean my bathroom.
Well I have a bit of housework to catch up on - the landlord moved my inspection forward to tomorrow because I've been having problems with some of the lights. Because I was out most of the weekend, I hung all the laundry up inside, and I seriously need to do the bathrooms and the floors (seriously, I feel like I clean the floors every couple of days!).
Back with the trainer this afternoon as well - I think it's going to hurt, it's been a few months. So I'd better get started!

So far we have been ok with the storms. Fingers crossed we will get through the night with no damage. Asher came home with a note from the school saying that they may be closed if there is any major damage so will have to check the web site or try and ring first thing in the morning.
