Well we are back at last, had a flat tyre and had to travel half the distance from Townsville [about 200km] on a space saver wheel and of course that means you can only travel at 80km/hour. Every town between there and home had no tyre to fit our car! :(
We had a wonderful time racing, except those crumydores won. They had about 100 000 people at the races this year, the best yet. Oh and the Jimmy Barnes concert on Saturday night was fantastic.
I hope every one is well, I'm off now to check out the gallery and what's new in the shop.

Ohh Trisha, sounds like you had a very exciting, but stressful time, so glad you got home ok..

Hmm interesting few days here too..

lets see.. Saturday after being attacked in the car park by my 2 year old son ( he decided to run and jump at mummy) we both fell over. I managed to get my hand under his head so he didn't hit the ground, but in the process managed to take a lot of skin of my big toe on my right foot and right knee, which also is now lovely shades of black and blue.. but no that's not all, i also manged to break a small bone in the top of my left foot.. ugh... so now i'm hobbling around..

Then today while we were off on a trip to the coast, the car in front of us came to a complete stop right at the end on the on ramp onto the highway, we managed to stop in time, but the poor car behind us didn't and couldn't swerve around us due to the highway traffic, and he ran into the back of our ute.. he did a lot of damage to his car - he hit the tow bar on ours, we were lucky.. just a very very small ding in the back bumper bar.. could have been much worse, so we were very lucky.. i think i really should have stayed in bed...

Ah Karen you poor thing, they say it never rains but it pours, lets hope that's all there is for all of us. Try and keep off your foot, [with a 2 year old :( ] I hope it doesn't take too long to heal.

I'm jealous Trisha - your weekends sounds great (except for the flat tyre!).

I hope you're feeling better soon Karen - that sounds like a nasty injury.

I think it's going to be a long week for me this week - the girls at work have me on a low food chemical/elimination diet to see if we get to the bottom of my constant tiredness. Today was day one - I fared better than the rest of them (I drink less coffee so the withdrawl wasn't as bad for me!) but I did get a headache late this afternoon that still hasn't budged. It's going to be a couple of weeks of very bland food for me.

I agree, sounds like a great weekend, apart from the flat tyre Trisha.

Sorry to hear about the foot Karen - but you did save his head, which is a very good thing.

Makes my weekend sound nice and dull - slowly making my way through the album started in Babinda in April, and gardening for one whole day. Had a lovely Sunday breakfast with our sister and niece and family (read "baby cuddling").

thank you so much for all the feel better wishes.. here's hoping it heals fast... i'm really not liking the hobbling around..

I agree Helen, would have gladly gone through worse if it meant i could save my little mans head... he keeps coming to check on me, sweet little man, though i'm not sure what squishing my nose will do, but hey who i am to argue with the methods of my little DR lol...

Ouch Karen. Hope you heel quickly.

Has been a nice few days out here. Out for dinner on Saturday and then I went up to spend the night with friends and their boys and then had dinner with my sil on the way home tonight. Only now just in and as I got home I realized I didn't put the bins out on Sunday.

Welcome back Trisha...glad you had a good time away..
{{hugs}} Karen...sounds painful.... I hope you feel better soon. I'm glad you are getting lots of hugging (and nose-squishing) from your wee man.
It's good to hear you've had a nice break away too, Julie...

I've been busy working on my first art course project...I finally got it finished yesterday and the courier came to collect it this morning. Now, for the anxious wait for feedback....eek!

Julie, so glad I'm not the only one who or gets the bins!

Ohhh Julze, you will have to lets know how yu go with your art project....

Interesting day today, sweet little Ash is home from daycare cause he's not well, bad cold for the two of us,( seems like it's open season on the Knight household at the moment... Sigh) so I've got to try an keep him occupied, and do this months tutorial...

Morning all.

Going to be an interesting day today. Missy has a dentist appointment. Last time she had one they could only get on set of xrays done. There was no way she was going to let them do the other side. After that we will be of to the movies and shopping with a friend.

We did have a nice day. Missy behaved at the dentist but that was most probably because of the fact I promised to buy her a book or movie if she didn't fuss while at the shops.

Ice age 4 was good and I managed to get me some new tops for the photo shoot we have tomorrow with a friend who also takes some amazing photos.
