good stuff Gypsy. I can just imagine you walking out in the paddock with one eye on the sheep and one eye on what could be a good subject to photograph that's on the ground.
Have you named that Sheep yet????? Praps you could call it

Wow, I've just been having a read through this thread & checking out all the awesome photos - I think if the sun is shining this weekend, I'll be out with my camera having a play with macro shots - don't know what I'll find to photograph, but there should be plenty of spiders around at the least!

Rippa Pepper.
Even if the sunshine is not happening, grab a flower, stick it in a vase, pop it in a window sill or on the sink and go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even a bunch of colour pencils, or a stalk of broccoli. Just go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even though Macro Month is all done I am still playing with it - and what you said about looking for the lighting - I like how this came together but I am still fighting with my lens to get a good sharp focal point when it is on the macro setting

ohhh the crab one is fantastic. love it. Macro is such a finite thing to play with and the pinpoint focus can shift in as little as a millimetre. That is one of the fun challenges of it.
I have a confession on the crab- it is dead - Mandy found it on the beach and played first, then Danny made a pretend hole for me to photograph it beside
Great way to get a good shot though - find the dead animals
