Where about are you Pepper. I used to live up north oh so many years ago.

I'm in Marangaroo, Julie - been in this house for nearly 17 years!

The weather was terrible this afternoon, so I didn't get a chance to take my camera out again... so I've been a bit naughty and put a photo from my NZ holiday at Christmas time in the competition gallery - feel free to disqualify it if that's not allowed, since I didn't take it this month LOL!

We may have to catch up for coffee one day.

she'll be right Pepper. I'll be judging them all on their own merits, not by date of capture.

as quoted on the first page with tutorial details.

"This is the gallery link to put up your best shot to be in the running for this month's landscape comp. Enteries close midnight last day of this month."

bummer Gyps. I know you took such monumental effort with this challenge too.

I know entries closed last night thanks Tiff of the 2500 odd took none where worth entering I can see that (yes I know a tad excessive but it gave me something to do and I got to see some places that I rarely visted and should )

My question was that I though they had to be take in the month to be in the callenge but that was wrong you could use any landscape ?
I never looked to see what else I had

Gypsy. You ask a very good question. I'm just waiting for a clarification from Lee-Anne and the DT's to see which way I should handle this.

I think I may have erred with Pepper, but I will get back and answer this one as soon as I can for you.

tiff

(thanks for bringing it up.) :D

Pepper and Gypsy.
Just to clarify that I made a boo boo  when I said that it was ok for your image Pepper to go in the gallery even tho it wasnt shot during the challenge month.

It does need to be shot during the month of that particular challenge.

I apologise for the mixup and saying that it was ok Pepper. Sorry.

No hard feelings :(

tiff :)

winner of the Landscape comp has been announced here.

congrats to you Mumtoangel.
these are my reasons why your image stood out.

This image looks has so much depth with the track leading into the middle distance and it being a leading line, and the two different coloured mountains showing in the background. It fells like the photo just goes on and on.

The vehicle and dust gives the shot interest and size perspective and the sunlight is lovely. The vehicle and track leads from left to right which is the same way our eye naturally travels (we read from left to right), and that makes it easy to draw the eye into the shot.

what a view from your door. I would never get any work done, I'd be gazing and photographing all day

Thank you everyone for giving it a go, posting your shots and allowing me to critique them if you wanted it.

And a special shout out to Gypsy. Your enthusiasm is wonderful. You go girl.

tiff :)
