Love the black & white shot Julze - I did have a play with the settings on my point and shoot last night - I found the delay/timer button which I've never used before LOL! Will play around before I shoot this months projects...

Ok, so I went to a car show today and I love cars, so I was quite in my element. I took this photo that I actually really like. I am thinking I wouldn't mind scrapping it either! I just did it straight greyscale in CS5. No adjustments as I am too lazy to post process!

BethJ.

how cool is that. great tonal range too. (from the rich velvety black to clean white.) and still retaining detail in the headlight rim (the grill bit)

way to go.

Thanks guys! I like that it still looks shiny along that strip. I was worried the conversion may have dulled it, but it didn't!

Well, you girls are showing some fabulous shots here. I rrreeeaaalllllyyyyy need to get into this photography a bit more......I think I've said that before huh! This is my attempt with too much white-y stuff in the top part. The birdies are a bit cute but, don't you think.

I've had hundreds of the little cuties lately. I've got quite a few "inflight" ones and very blurred but atm I know one setting "auto" although I have ventured to "P" lately

sit on TV so we can control your shutter.

try getting your shutter speed above 1/200. even better would be 1/500th to freeze the action. you'll need to bump up your ISO to lift the shutter speed. and try your lowest f stop number. ie f2.8 or f4 or something like that.

good luck.

I not sure if I've hot spotted the light coming through Tiff
