Excellent, now i am going to go and get a little more creative.....which is what i love
Yes i did see Jules Photos they are fantastic, such a basic everyday item but fantastic patterns and lines.
Your apple looks excellent too.
Right so if i can get on top of the cleaning etc, i will be out taking photos....yehaaaaa i am finally learning something worth knowing and remembering about my awesoome camera.
had a chance to have a play around with the camera today down at the beach - it really is hard to find something to snap that is just one colour - here are some shots I took that I am thinking are headed in the right direction - thanks as always for the Tuts Tiff - they are an immense help

what is that Sarah???
not quite the idea but you are nearly there. I can see three colours in that one. Try to simplify it a little bit more. You need one point of interest so they eye will lock on that first and then move around the image.

getting there Sarah. now that you've got a colour happening, now think of an interesting angle to take the shot. Ie from the tip of the leaf, looking back up to the stem via the the the central part of the leaf ( that valley area, I forget the right name for it. )
or along the viens
or something that you think of.
keep at it mate. That's why we have all month to get some practise in to crack a top shot.
