its actually a spot where this is no image data at all. So if you printed it all you'll get is the white photo paper there with no ink from the printer.

Does PSE 5 have the clone tool? where you can copy pixels from a similar spot that you are trying to fill?

duplicate layer.

have a go at cloning. if it doesn't work, you can drop that duplicate layer in the bin.

or
duplicate layer and use your colour picker (eye dropper) on a spot that should be similar colour that you are trying to fill. select your brush and drop the opacity of the brush to say 15%, big feather brush size and spray that hot spot. less is more.

I'm on CS5...

This one of my son I just love, cause its him being himself. I tried two ways of enhancing in picasa with light and dark filtering to catch his eye's.

Nikon D80 1/60s
Focal Length 42.0mm
f/7.1
ISO: 1600

oh Angie. how sweet are they. the first one with your son, his eye's are mesmerising. and your daughter, naaaawwwww.

have a go at getting a photo of both of them either together or separately during this month for this tute, then you can qualify for the 'shoot it, scrap it' challenge next month where you use this month's photo that you taken AND put in this gallery.

can't wait to see what you pop up here!!!

tiff :)

Hi Tiff

Thanks for the comments regarding my photo's, really appreciate it.

Attached is my take on the September Challenge. I have placed it into the gallery already, but I forgot to place it in here for your perusal (sorry).

Details:

Nikon D80
focal 40.0mm
1/2000s
f/16.0
ISO: 1600

Question: So is the challenge for this photo present to be used on a layout ready for next month (Oct)? Sorry a bit vague here and new to the site. LOL :?

spot on Angie.

a photo taken this month is to be used for the 'shoot it, scrap it' challenge which is always launched on the last Friday of the month.

in other words on Friday September 30th is when I'll be announcing the 'shoot it, scrap it' challenge is live, and you'll have most of next month to scrap that BW photo to be in the running for a $25 Scrap Therapy voucher.

gotta love that.
