"G" is our first letter for the month of June.

The challenge is for you to be inspired by a word starting with the given letter and create a LO showing somewhere on your layout the word that your LO was inspired by. This can be in the title or in your journalling (we need to be able to see it).

The extra criteria for this letter is to include a handmade embellishment on your page.

I've had some fun with the Tim Holtz stains and dimensional magic on this page.

For the stems I mixed some TH peeled paint distress stain (which doesn't appear to be in stock atm) with dimensional magic. I dab (squeezing the sides of the bottle at the same time for a fast flow) the distress stain onto a paint palette and then just mix some dimensional magic with it and pour it off the palette into random droplets on the page then flip it up to vertical and let the drops run down. You get a pretty fast flow with the Dimensional magic added.

Then for the main flowers I used some scraps of the background paper. Dabbed (not squeezing the sides this time) TH peeled paint Distress Stain for the centre, let it dry then did 5 petals in the same way around the centre in TH wild honey distress stain. I've also added some leaves to the stems, doodled around the flowers, stems and leaves and added some dimensional magic to the flower centres. I've added assorted Prima flowers to the remaining stems. The little birdies are from these Prima stamps, stamped with WRMK brown ink and then coloured with a mix of Tattered Angels mist LED red and dimensional magic. I usually just put this on with my finger coz I always forget to wash my brushes and the dimensional magic needs to be washed out fairly quickly.
I've also drawn a border to frame the photos and mixed TH vintage photo distress stain with some water and filled in the border. Using this same mix, I've just used my finger to rub over the title.

Background paper is WRMK Anthologie (potpourri) and the alphas are Authentique loyal and Fancy Pants saint nick.

Pages must be newly created and non digital solely for the use of this challenge and may not be used in any other challenge until winners are announced. All entries must be in the correct folder in the gallery corresponding to challenge undertaken and are due by midnight of the last day of the month. The winner will receive a $25 Scraptherapy Voucher, which will be valid for one month from the date of issue. If vouchers are not able to be used within that time for some reason the voucher can be RAK'd to a friend for their use

Knew what I wanted to do for G since the A to Z started so it might be about time i started playing again. Haven't done a single page this year and it's half gone already! No idea about the hand made embel though... going to have to work on that and see what works.

Hi Deb,

can anyone jump in on this letter or do we need to have started from the start?

I was thinking about taking on this challenge - if that is ok. I am still new at this Forum thing. :)

Regards

Mel

Hey, Mel. Yep, jump on in and play anytime. :D There are some that have actually done the challenge from the start to eventually form an a-z album but the challenge is open to anyone at any stage.
