I cant believe it's the third friday in June already.. So that means it's time for another Tute+1 Challnege..

What do i have instore for you this month.. well this month along with one of the techniques from the tute from last week ( stamping with Stains, or doodling) I'd like you to create a layout that also includes some fussy cut elements. You can find the technique tute here

If you don't have the any picket fence stain, don't worry you get a similar effect using white acrylic paint or gesso. Please be aware though that you will get a more opaque image though, as it wont soak into the paper like the distress stain does.

Don't have distress markers? any type of marker will do, The shop also stocks Marvy markers which are available singularly which would work well for doodling as well. (I'd love to see some doodled backgrounds and borders! :D )

So without to much more babbling from me, here is my example..

Image

My layout is A4 Size and I have stamped a background around my images using distress stain, and a couple of little doodle dots near my butterflies. My fussy cut elements are my circular flowers and the little bird on the top right of the group of photos.

Here is a list of all the things i have used..
Doodle Deux Alpha Stickers
Doodle Deux A4 paper pad
Doodle Deux Flutter Bits
Doodle Deux Canvas resist pieces
Dylusions Basic Backgrounds stamp set
Picket Fence Distress Stain
Tivona Rose
Distress Markers I have used Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge, Worn Lipstick and Picket Fence

Pages must be newly created and non digital solely for the use of this challenge and may not be used in any other challenge until winners are announced. All entries must be in the correct folder in the gallery corresponding to challenge undertaken and are due by midnight of the last day of the month. The winner will receive a $25 Scraptherapy Voucher, which will be valid for one month from the date of issue. If vouchers are not able to be used within that time for some reason the voucher can be RAK'd to a friend for their use

Love this tute Karen, I haven't used distress stains before so it is interesting to learn the different uses.

I do have some stamps and white paint though, so will enjoy playing around with them tomorrow and see what I come up with. Can I use a sharpie for the doodling? And I need all the practice I can get with my fussy cutting lol :)

I've obviously been not scrapping for longer than I thought, because I don't know what fussy cutting is. Is it just cutting bits out of PP, or is it something else?
