STEP 2
Using the length of scrap card stock from the paint list in the Materials list -tear and fold into quarters. You will be using this as your paint spreader. Holding the spreader by the folded edge and keeping the edges together, dip it into your paint and smear it down the page starting in the top left hand corner and randomly covering an area roughly 7x8 inches and a smaller area towards the bottom on the right hand side.

I meant why are we tearing and folding it into quarters? I did that and my paint still looks like a straight strip of paint. Was it meant to do something fancy?

I might skip this step... not a paint fan :)
