hahahaha Beth you are so funny - this gave me my morning giggle! I've got to say though... I did have to read Ant's words over to see what she reeeeeeeaally meant!
But on a serious side... I hope you feel better soon Ant, pain is just horrible and you do need to see about it pronto missy! Hopefully once your are sorted and your 'party' is over - your mojo will be knocking down your door!
Oh Julze.. not a slapper here either..... Prob Have you ever dont a 5 min challenge where you had a kit put in front of you and had to get it together in NO time!! We've done it at Lee-Annes retreat - I've taken one, and done one... so fun!!! NOW thats slapping!!! But the stress!!! Its 11.30am here and I'm still in my pj's too. Its the last weekend of our school hols - ugh... monday back to it - ROUTINE! Loathe it!
Beth seriously - not fun -you talk of your warmer weather when I'm about to grow webbed feet here in the freezing cold I think we should swap!!! (I'm the one that needs the afgan blanket!! Sounds beautiful!!)
Hope you are having fun at bootcamp Christine!! You day sounds fab too Julie... dont think I'll get to scrapping till late tonight.
Paige has rehearsals with TasDance this afternoon so there goes my time at home - I'll have to go hang around somewhere waiting for her to finish - its a bit of a travel away from where we live. She's had classes with them this past week - now they are getting ready to do a performance next weekend when I'm at Scrappy Camp!! Can you believe that!!!! UGH! everything clashes. She also had a violin performance too the same night but she had to make a choice. I'm getting the guilts so will probably leave scrappy camp to go watch her perform. Why does everything always fall at the same time!
I have the house to myself!!!!!!!!!!! two off on mbikes, one out with friends!!! Yes I will be scrapping - just a couple of "essential" pages left to do for the 21st in a couple of weeks. Still haven't started organising the party of course. My excuse is 12 hour work days. looks like the party will be late, and organised around the birthday present - there's this race on Phillip Is in October.. mind you, I'd better go buy him the tickets.
Hi Mandy - bootcamp was about as fun as it can be on a Saturday morning but I have to go or I'd spent the whole week sitting on my behind !
Helen - my other half and a mate went to Phillip Island for the MotoGP last year - they had a ball! Or is the V8's you're talking about? They said it was a really good track. Verrrrrrrry cold there though and they got rain too.
I've just gotten home from a last minute decision to go to Babinda (I have NO self control LOL!) and I've done a couple of errands so will set up my craft things after a quick bite to eat. I'm supposed to be making another 2 cards for a swap but I'm kind of more interested in working on some challenges at the moment, so I might do a layout and work on the cards tomorrow instead.
Hope everyone gets some time to themselves over the weekend!

MotoGP. You've reminded me, time to go shopping for those tickets. Cold and wet (or stinking hot if it's in V8s in Qld) seems to be part of the deal, and no deterrent at all

It is a pain when you have to choose... but then they move on, and you share much less with them, so enjoy it while it lasts And later, you can enjoy, really enjoy, more "me time". Between our DS heading into his last term at school and a very hectic period at work, I know what you mean though.
Morning! Party went off without a hitch beside the fact the restaurant stuffed up! Feeling a little better went to the dr they said it's either a stomach ulcer or a post anti biotic reaction but he also said in the same sentence he wants to rule out bowl cancer :/ my exact response don't be pathetic don't you think that's a tad extreme and he jsut wants to test everything but he gave me meds for the ulcer and I feel so much better today so i think I will by pass the other tests! Oh & sorry about my scalping hehe it's predicitive text on the iPhone & I forgot to check it before I hit submit!
Off to cairns today dh wants to go to the car show then home to pack for trip to Brisbane so no scrapping until I get back
Have a wonderful weekend all will upload pic of cake later on

I don't know Ant, you just never know. There is no harm in checking anyway. It would just be a routine colonoscopy to find out. But I am very glad to hear you are feeling a bit better!
I don't know how I am going to survive when my kids fly the coop.
Well, I am about to go and get ready to go to a local car show. I bet it's going to be full of rednecks. I am in the west, you know. Hopefully I can get a good pic for Tiff's B&W challenge!

ditto Beth...better to be safe than sorry...I'm glad you went to the Drs. and meds have helped, Ant. Yay for the party going off without a hitch...well except for the restaurant stuff-up
My dd18 is looking at going to university in 2013. I have a year to get used to the idea but when I think about her not being here...I get all teary-eyed ...I know it's normal and all that... just "walking through it" (and when it's your first one) just leaves me feeling a bit overwhelmed.
We are having a family get-together this afternoon to celelbrate my Dad's 83rd. I need to pop down and pick up a gift for him but what do you get a man in his 80's that doesn't really need anything? I'm thinking I'll get him a voucher for the plants for his garden.
Have a great Sunday!

Hi girls! So glad your party went well Ant... and you are feeling somewhat better, and agree with what the other girls said.
Quilting is on my bucket list Beth....one day but I will do it!
Plant voucher is the way I go Julia - its a winner everytime!! I even like plant vouchers! I've been working hard in my garden lately and its starting to shape up well with the winter cleanout. I've got so many plans for it - one step at the time. DH went to the farm this morning.. and just as he left I hinted I needed some 'farm rocks' so hopefully he'll bring me back some - I love them for retaining walls.
Other than that - got to go clean the studio and make sure its shiny and bright for the start of the new term here tomorrow.
busy week ahead with parents coming in to watch in the later part, and then exams the following week - .....
(have got scrappy camp in between - SOOOOOO a little reprieve and take a breath time

morning all going to have a lazy day here. have got some scrapping to do and some stuff for work. was going to go down to my local for a bit but may leave that till wednesday.
I have every intention to scrap today......maybe I should have started first up this morning instead of going into the garden. I could easily have a nanna nap right now.
Quilting, did someone say quilting. Years ago I used to get a "block of the month" type of thingy and was so faithful in getting each square done before the next month came around......yep and all those cute squares are still sitting nicely in a bag. I think I will just join them up and make a cover for a doona although not even too enthused about that.
I've just received a bit of sad news. My parent's puppy passed away yesterday - Mum found a tick on her but by the time they got her to the vet there was nothing that could be done.
For those of you with cats and dogs please check them over thoroughly before the day is out.
