May Photography Challenge - Colour What an awesome response to the challenge ladies. I am so stoked. I love it when its tough to pick out 'the winning shot' when there's so many in the gallery.
STAR- Mel1 Beautifully composed, well lit and tightly focused on the centre of the bloom while allowing the edges to blur away to give the shot a feel of softness and an ethereal feel.
STANDOUT - Gis Great lines that sweep their way from front to back to lead the eye into the shot. Awesome to see an unusual item with an unusal view of it. Again the focus lends itself to an ethereal feel.
STANDOUT -Julze2three The vivid colour and the tight cropping of the umbrella is awesome. Definitely makes the shot stand out in the gallery.
The way we pick our winners is usually for each of the girls who set the challenges to choose their favorite and I second the vote, this month though I decided to pick some of the competion winners based not only on great layouts, however on consistant effort, and we had one newbie entry that did not make it to our gallery in time however I thought deserved a win for a great layout and a great way to get her layout online before I approved her membership here
We had a late starter this month, who I did not approve for forum access fast enough for her to load her challenge to the forum, however she did have the forsight to pop it up on her blog and let me know before the deadline, and I am going out on a limb here but this one is a winner, congrats Toasty and pop in and say hello to the girls, we would love to 'meet' you.
