Blah - sounds like the week for horribles. We were in town today running around doing errands when a teenager riding his bike home from school (safely - in the bike lane) was hit by a car right in front of us - we stopped to make sure everything was ok and he had some very nasty scraps but it seems he had a lucky escape - but he was so close to Robert's age and size and Rob rides his bike in that area - the first thing Danny said when he saw it was "that's not Rob is it" - it really did quiet upset me - fortunately there as a guy on the scene who came very quickly - an ex-ambo so he knew everything to do and we did not stay - there was a crowd gathering - but it was pretty horrible.

Add that to kids splitting chins, dog eating birds, sick dads and all the other blah we all have happening around here - I think it is time for some good things to happen

Yes it is time for good things to happen...

Its not just actually 'when' a thing happens... its the afters....and how it stays with you thats the worse.

ANyway, the assistant principal apparently read the riot act to the moron (good name Cheryl!), so thats good, and moved him on.

Let the good things happen !!

That's not good Julie. Hope all goes well.

Leeanne, I totally sympathise - I saw a kid knocked off his bike years ago, and I can still see him flying through the air! (He was OK.)

Mandy - pleased the moron had the riot act read to him!

Positive news for this week seen as though a lot of you girls seem to be having pretty horrible weeks *BIG HUGS!*

Declan is pulling himself up on absolutely everything! still hasn't mastered crawling but does spend a lot of time in crawling position and seen as though he is talked about a fair bit on here thought I should share a photo to put a face to a name so to speak

What an absolute cutie! He is growing so fast, Tara. He will be walking before you know it and THEN you will know all about it! Enjoy.

you would not believe what we woke up to this morning....

a tree down across our driveway... we sure did have some awful winds through the night...

DH tried to drive down with his work ute and stopped at the bottom and couldnt go any further.. and I thought it was funny I heard his ute stop....
just as well he had his little black car parked out the front so he managed to get to work.

20mins later - FIL arrived with his chainsaw and got it all cut up. I'm often in awe of the man who is in his mid-80s.... still quite strong.. He's a logger from way back.... chopped it up and he didnt skip a beat.

Oh Mandy elderly in their 80's inspire me, my Grandparents are the same, my 80 year old Nonna baby sits my 3 year old and doesn't look half as frazzled as me after an 8 hour day - she even manages to bring him home with a cooked dinner for both me and DH! And my Nonno is the same still runs the farm with my Uncle!! Gotta Love them :) And Cherish everyday they are here!

Declan is so cute and like some of the others have said. Step away from those scissors.

Has been a long day today. One more to go and it's the weekend.
