Muriel_022.JPGMy Friend GloriaThis is a photo of my friend Gloria at age 17. I didn't meet her until we were both past 50 but we have become firm friends. I used CS and distressed & stamped & inked it. The embellishments are buttons, a ribbon rose and a chipboard heart which I inked and decorated. Kaiser Craft stamp. Lace and tag are from Gloria's stash. Fibres are BG.8 comments11/08/09 at 20:49outbackscrappinAussie: Love this! Great photo and the Green is awesome!
kids_at_heart.jpgKids at HeartThis Sketch challenge really pushed me. BG paper
stamping techniques 1. painted the pink leaf emb and then picked parsley from the garden and used it to stamp a pattern on the emb - It really worked well. I then used papertowl and inked it onto the cream CS for backing and used 3 cut ribbon flowers to create the pattern on the bottom of the blue CS mount.
I also tried Alli's paper curling tech for one of the emb.
It was great fun to do this page and tested me for creative ideas for stamps7 comments11/08/09 at 20:49shimano: beautiful LO - love the flowers:-D
CC_Sketch_Challenge.JPGCC Sketch ChallengeI used the actual thought of a Stampede for this - my girlfriend's twin boys were in a very big hurry to get here - born at just 33 weeks - very healthy though and now thriving - this is one of them.

Muriel_008.JPGThis ManI never met this man. He was the father of my friend Gloria [I'm flooded in at her place and don't have any of my own photos] To scrap him I did some research into his life and am very impressed by his character. He lived bravely, loved wholeheartedly and deeply, worked tirelessly, and was loved and respected by those who knew him.
I used CS and stamped with Ronna Farrer word frourishes that described this man as best I could. The PP is Paper Pizazz vintage range. I made the journaling tag with stamps.8 comments11/08/09 at 20:45shimano: this is lovely - great Also what a great frie...
