I did two 8.5 X 11.5 layouts for this challenge, It is "Me" photocopied my birth certificate and stained it with coffee and then cut it in half for an old aged affect. Just used scraps from my stash.

the_beauty_in_ugly.jpgThe Beauty in UglyI wasn't quite sure how to scrap some of these photos of DP's deployment, but I've wanted to for ages. I kept thinking to myself that it was amazing to find beautiful photos in amongst 'ugly' ones so decided to use that as tbe base for my LO. I've tried to keep the left 'beauty' side soft and pretty and the right side a bit more sharp and dark to suit the 'ugly' theme.

Journalling reads: 'Even something as ugly as war can contain beauty, sometimes you just have to look for it'.

th_Bright_Eyes_Full_Layout.JPGBright Eyes - full layoutWhen I took this photo just knew I would get it blown up to fit a whole page - these little guys are feeding off honey that the lodge workers put on the trees are night to attract them.

If you look carefully at the little picture on the Left hand side you can see a tiny pair of sparkling eyes peering down from the trunk at us. He is about 8 metres up and did this when we arrived. Luckily he felt safe enough after a couple of minutes to feed again.

Oh and this just wasn't a single glider there are 5
