minidancingqueen1.jpg(Mini) Dancing QueenI was in the mood to try and few things I don't normally do (like cutting around the object in photos and stitching on my layout) and I used papers that I wouldnt normally use together so this layout's a bit different which I like! It was great to use up some scraps of paper I had for the strips and rather than opening a new set of thickers I just used up a couple of different styles I had! The photo is of my cute little cousin Katie, taken while she was dancing at mum's wedding last year. TFL ~ Belinda x5 comments04/01/10 at 23:56scrappylou: beautiful, love those flowers!

In_Their_Footsteps.JPGIn Their FootstepsMy great-great grandparents arrived in Aust in 1844 & were one of the original pioneers in the Crookwell area. My journalling is about how it felt to finally see their church & graves & the area where they lived. It brought them to life rather than just a name on the family tree. tøyse.jpg"Matheus ta brille meg!" ("Matheus, take my picture!")My eight year old son has taken the photos in this layout. And the journaling is telling the story about our "everyday photo session". The paper from "Cherry Arte" has been laying around here for many months, with too much color to fit anything. Today i found the perfect photos, not in my own camera, but in my sons. ;)4 comments03/31/10 at 21:38cherylt: The papers certainly do fit the LO! It looks grea...

ST_monthly_journalling_chall__Mar10.JPGSweet....My take on the journalling challenge this month. Basically just used a white cardstock base, added some gingham and turquoise paint around the edge and brushed over the fabric. Used up one of the many paper doilies I have and some flower stickers that have been sitting in my stash for awhile. tfl. 6 comments03/31/10 at 21:36cherylt: Very effective. Love it.
