for-the-love-of-colour.jpgFor the Love of ColourI created the background out of all those manufacturer's name strips down the bottom of patterned papers. (Including a couple from Cosmo's Nutmeg range - to incorporate the woodgrain pattern!) Then I gave it a thin coat of gesso to dull it down a touch and bring a bit more cohesion. My journaling says "I dressed you in these brightly coloured onesies when you were first born, but they were size 0000 and you were such a big baby who had no trouble growing so they barely lasted you 2 weeks. I revamped a tree cut-out I had to make the colours more appropriate for the challenge and tried to ink in a bit of a woodgrain pattern on the tree trunk (not too successfully) so then I added a strip of woodgrainy pp in behind (just in case lol).
