Muriel_008.JPGThis ManI never met this man. He was the father of my friend Gloria [I'm flooded in at her place and don't have any of my own photos] To scrap him I did some research into his life and am very impressed by his character. He lived bravely, loved wholeheartedly and deeply, worked tirelessly, and was loved and respected by those who knew him.
I used CS and stamped with Ronna Farrer word frourishes that described this man as best I could. The PP is Paper Pizazz vintage range. I made the journaling tag with stamps.8 comments11/08/09 at 20:45shimano: this is lovely - great Also what a great frie...

kids_at_heart.jpgKids at HeartThis Sketch challenge really pushed me. BG paper
stamping techniques 1. painted the pink leaf emb and then picked parsley from the garden and used it to stamp a pattern on the emb - It really worked well. I then used papertowl and inked it onto the cream CS for backing and used 3 cut ribbon flowers to create the pattern on the bottom of the blue CS mount.
I also tried Alli's paper curling tech for one of the emb.
It was great fun to do this page and tested me for creative ideas for stamps7 comments11/08/09 at 20:45outbackscrappinAussie: Wow Great idea TFS

run_away_with_me.jpgRun away with meStampede theme inspired me to scrap my wedding day, as the bridal party was literally running to catch the city cat from the botanical gardens where we got photos to the Regatta for the reception!
The paper I used in this scrap was BG Romani Pooro. KC emblishments. Stamping tech. 1 stamp that I own on the bottom of the page in blue. 2 inked paper kitchen towel to blotch the mounting CS. 3 I cut 3 ribbon flowers, mounted them using thick foam DS tape and used ink to create the pattern on cream CS!6 comments11/08/09 at 20:43shimano: great idea from the photo - like the ribbons
motocoaster_4_stamps.jpgEscaping your ChildhoodI looked up stampede in the thesaurous and it said that stampede also meant escaping.
So I took the opportunity to scrap this photo of my youngest with his first time on a rollercoaster (motocoaster in Dreamworld) and journal about how he is escaping his childhood.
I did you BG papers on the right side I believe they are from the Oh Baby! Boy line.5 comments11/08/09 at 20:42shimano: great layout

Don_t_Blink.JPGDon't BlinkThanks for a great sketch Jen! When I think "Stampede" I think of cattle, cowboys & country music so I've used the lyrics from a Kenny Chesney song for my title & journalling. TFL!8 comments11/08/09 at 20:10spikeyjen: very clever connection too! love that Cosmo papers...
