LO_028_A_Place_in_Time.jpgA place in history.138 viewsMany years ago, these cemeteries scared me. I always imagined the big headstones to be spooky and I hated going to the cemeteries with headstones but now that I am older, they don’t scare me anymore.
I now see the beauty in these headstones. Whilst death is not beautiful, the work of art on these headstones are amazing. It is very interesting seeing all the different shaped headstones and plots. They truly are a labour of love.
It’s probably morbid to take photos of these headstones and a little disrespectful.
But I fear that in years to come, these will be gone. Where would history be???
Just one photo is a memory to remember… to remember this piece of history in time.6 comments

Was this how the Female Factory looked in 1840?
Of course not but by preserving the past
we can teach our children and their children about
life in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.
The wonderful fireplace, stunning wallpaper and
beautiful light fittings all tell a story about life in 1840.
