My first attempt. It's a bit over exposed and I'm not quite liking the colours, but she liked playing around with me. Notice the Banana Paddle Pop. (see, I wasn't lying )

It could be. People would need photoshop to do it tho. It's a layers thing. And not everyone has photoshop tho.

they are great Tiff sorry I am a bit slow took me ages to work out that it was only one child in both picutres should have worked this out as my great uncle used to do things like this way back in the 1920 not like this but for his time they was pretty good

back in the darkroom days and manipulation of the negatives to produce amazing results really was an art. You really had to know your craft. And that is now lost in digital age.

Just thinking ahead here girls. For next month's shoot it, scrap it challenge, you'll need to have your portrait shots done this month. You have a week left to get on to it, post them up here in this thread or in this gallery folder.

These are great, Gypsy. I think my fav is the second one but oh how I love the look on his face in the first.....very scrappable and you even have the title sorted.

Heya Gypsy. That first one is blurred and the focus is off, so I wouldn't even worry about that one.

The second one is much better. And you have eye contact too. I guess that it might be tricky to get the cat to turn around to face the window?? That would remove the white overblown exposed area behind the cats head, and the eyes would also be really lit it.

Have another go with your macro setting so you can blur your background more and see how it looks.

or.... just had another thought.

bend down lower than the cat is so his head and body blocks that window and that in turn will rim light him (the hair on the edge of his head and body will glow with the light from behind) but you WILL NEED to use your flash to fill flash his face, otherwise he will look like a black silhouette. This will be easier than moving a cat that will probably not appreciate you're efforts at posing him lol
