Mandy - read your blog and that is so amazing, so happy for you and your family to get Maggie back
Julie - love the food at tapas, did you enjoy the food? Pity about the egg incident
Today isn't going to plan - it's raining, so everything I want to do is now out the window. Might curl up with a book instead.
I was a bit unsure about going as I have never had tapas or spanish food before but loved it. Glad you like it there as was saying to Jane that we could probably go there on one of our monthly dinners. Jane was a bit unsure about the nut issue though.
Well a fun day here today - a visit to the denist - always lovely but I think this time round my wallet will hurt more than my mouth - getting old is no fun

dentist.... ouch. ooh... so loathe it. your poor wallet... its hideously expensive!
I bought a long evening gown today. Its nothing like I thought I'd ever buy thats for sure. It's one shoulder bare... yeah right .... and I LOVED the rest of the gown except for THAT..... so was about to say no until the lady brought me a gorgeous little chiffon shrug... with 3/4 sleeves... and no more one bare shoulder... perfect! Very happy with the result. LOL she said.. 'If you get hot dancing you can always take it off' And in my mind I was saying 'Crap I will! It will stay on!' It's Hannah's yr 12 formal (parents go) and I had not brought a cocktail dress since 2004! And not worn a long dress since 1981!!!!! LOL... so long overdue Hannah's wearing Meaghan's yr12 gown from 2000. It fits her like a glove and she is so happy with it. She's always said that she wanted to wear it years ago (great for me... no forking out for her). Her grandmother made it - so grandma's very happy too. Now dh has to buy suit

I am sure you will look great Mandy.
Been a long day at work today made even longer as yet again I have had homework issues with Missy. Heading of into high school next year where she will be expected to do more homework and I am having trouble getting her to do the little that she has to do each night now. It is like pulling teeth. So I don't know if I need to step back and let her take more responsibility for getting it done or keep on being the big bad grumbly mum when she isn't doing it or not bringing it home. I know at some point I will need to step back but is it something that I do now or later.

Sounds like you had fun shopping, Mandy. Isn't it great that you get to reuse Meaghan's dress, especially as Grandma made it! Win, win!
That's a hard one, Julie, with Missy and her homework. They have to take responsibility for themselves sooner or later, and cop the consequences when they don't do what they should have. Good luck.
Over the weekend I finished off my October sketch challenge and then pulled out a photo with another challenge in mind, so I am hoping to get some scrapping done. I finally feel as if I can, now that I have unpacked and put away from my trip up north, and have a tidy desk again.

Are you able to go too Julie? I know its not always possible or easy. Either dh or I always went on Hannah's - mainly because we knew no one could be fully responsible for her food (strictly gluten/dairy free) and if she had just a tiny bit of gluten or dairly in any sort of food, no matter how small or how cooked or hidden it would be - she's violently ill - its toxic to her, and they could not guarantee me that wouldnt happen - then who would look after her when/if she fell sick... I know they arent the same issues but if you are concerned - maybe its a possibility?
Just busy today, got a fabby parcel from the shop...woohoo! Cant wait to play with that!

I'm ok Mandy just being a mum and worrying a tad too much.
I got my parcel today too but for now I think I may just hit the lounge for a nanna nap before asher comes home with Craig about 7.30. It has been one long day here and I have got to learn somehow not to let all the petty work crap get too me.
I too am glad it is Friday...Have a terrific weekend Julie!!!
I WILL be sitting at my scrap table tomorrow and try Mandy's challenge.Have done the blog/sketch, just need to upload it.Love all your sketches ladies. BBQ tomorrow night for a friend and then helping my sister clean the outside of her house as she is moving in a couple of weeks.
Mandy, it must be getting crazy busy for you, with end of year looming. How is your new house?
