Hi everyone.... I'm just popping in very quickly to say that we have arrived in Beijing last night! Its been a marathon to get here, but nevertheless, our fun starts today! I'll pop in when I can We have family staying in our house so alls good for our poor confused cat as he saw all our cases get rolled out the door!
Hope you are all scrapping away! We are luckily only two hours behind Sydney so no jetlag here - just ready with cameras poised!!!!

Thanks girls! Its been a big day... Julie, we are on the same time as you! We went to Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City Tiantan Park and Tiananmen Square and wonderful Chinese food! I reckon we walked a massive amount of kms today! I cant put anything on my blog - and facebook is a big no-no here too - much to Paige's shock and disgust! I'm really surprised I can get on here - The chinese are very 'filtered' with what they can and cant do!
Off to the Great Wall tomorrow.... cant wait for this though we've been warned its physically demanding.... but breathtakingly beautiful...
Mandy you will have a fantastic time, even without facebook etc. Also, I think Google is only the Chinese version. You'll have such a great time and we will just have to wait for your photos to be scrapped to see them. Hint, you may wish to find some Chinese embellishments [specific to where you are] while you are there.
I am back home from hospital from another 5 week stay, yay to being at home again! My book has only a few weeks to go and it will be officially published and printed, yay to that. Then the fun begins with the promotions and marketing. no yay to that...
I am so getting back into my scrapping starting today!! I'll have a look at the April sketch and see where I can go from there.
I went to an engagement party that turned into a wedding reception on Saturday night [that's another long story] so more photos from that as well.
Leanne, can we have a spot somewhere here in the forum to let us know what is going on in Babinda?
It is great to be back, looking forward to chatting with you all again. Have a great week.

A REALLY big day today! 3 hr drive to Jinshaling Great Wall - and all I can say is UP-HILL! the steps are so steep in some parts that its hands on the steps in front while the feet are climbing... its so derelict and crumbling - some parts didn't have any walls at all - just the high elevated paths - Hannah struggled with her fear of heights and shook and tears fell silently - but she was determined to do it, so with dh one side and Paige the other we flanked her and got her through it.
It was hard but fabulous - its not the touristy part thank goodness - can see why! we are now exhausted but alls good! hawkers spruking was a pain in the butt - but oh well...
The ole legs was like jelly at times - but now can tick it off the bucket list!
I haven't seen any places for paper yet trisha... hope to though... glad you are doing better and getting into scrapping...
Internet is very slow...so will scoot off early night tonite!
sounds like you are having a fantastic time Mandy - brings back memories of Tara walking in up the Eiffel Tower with me behind her hands on back all the way - it makes it oh so much more memorable because of what you overcome to make it happen

wow... talk about tripping.... we are now in London... virtually fell off the plane and booked straight into a hotel here at the airport to give us some time to just chill and shower and catch up on ourselves.
Tomorrow we will move into London.
China was fabulous and our last day there was the Beijing Zoo - ooh the pandas! Cruised on the lake of the Summer palace - had lunch with a local chinese family in their one roomed little house. We have never eaten so much food in all our lives! We went to a Chinese Acrobat show and it was so wow that we are still talking about it!
Sooo glad to get back to western civilization though.... lets say the toilets can be VERY 'different'!
Just need to organise hotel in London now, and Meaghan comes down on Friday to join us at long last.... (its still midday on Wed here at the moment)
