Here's my take on the last challenge.
198 words of journalling...phew..that was a race to get that one done!

thisismeclearwonky.jpgThis is me...@ 22Photo's a little wonky oops. I originally started a shabby page with Prima etc but I changed my mind and started again with the bright colours. Most of the layouts I've done over the past year have been bright fun ones so I thought it was only fitting to continue that since it was a layout about my scrapping at this stage in life! Excuse my messy journalling, hopefully it's readable.
Cosmo Cricket papers, Thickers and of course rhinestones!

IMG_3815.JPGMBM#5 i seeI've used MME, Bazzil card, cotton for crocheting around the edge, Hambly overlay, AC Thickers, D'lish flowers & leaves, ticket by Star, lace, string pearls.
Journalling talks about my first layout was symmetrical and clean with minimal embellishments and how my style has changed since then. Most of my style now includes either distressing, ink, lace, stitching or paint.
My inspiration comes from everywhere. I see beauty in everything. There is nothing I see that I can't find something beautiful in it.

Journaling says... 'It is something I love this scrapping hobby of mine. As I go through my photos and pick out those that mean the most to me. They are not always pretty or even always good but they evaoke a memory, which is sad, or happy, or precious, or one which not happen again because life or love changes things. MBM_09_-_chall_5.jpgMBM Chall 5Journalling reads:- 7thJuly2009-I'm 51 yrs old and life is pretty good. This layout was done as part of a compteition for ScrapTherapy - my online home. I started scrapbooking about 9yrs ago and I'm still as passionate about it now, if not more. I can't imagine it not being part of my life. I love it. I am inspired each and every day by other people's scrapbooking. I love to try out new things on my layouts. What is my style???? I think I've got one....just not sure how to describe it. I love to "doodle" at least something on my pages - just to leave my "mark". I am in love with the "shabby" look at the moment. I hope in the years to come, my family will continue to enjoy what I have created for them. I hope they can see the love that I have put into my pages and will realize how much this thing called scrapbooking means to me. I'm not too worried about how neat my pages are or if you like my writing or can even read it sometimes. This is me. This is from the heart.15 commentsJul 08, 2009

IMG_3410_1.JPGMBM 5- Always Behind the CameraThe flowers are home made, and the photo of me I have 3d, this lifts up to reveal little photo's of some of my layouts and mini me's also my journalling . Small problem....journalling to small so will have to type it.
When did I start scrap booking? I don't really know, I look back at my photo albums from 20 years ago and realize that's probably a form of scrapping, as I would cut all the boring or unwanted bits from photo's making them all different shapes & sizes so I could put more onto a page. DH would call it being to stingy to buy more pages, I call it being artistic.
About 5 years ago I went to a Scrapbooking party, I must say I didn't enjoy it as I felt pressured to be "creative" there & then, it wasn't until a couple of years later I picked up a scrap magazine and saw all the wonderful creations and I was instantly hooked, thats when my passion for this craft really started my inspiration comes from some of these magazines along with the Scrap Therapy forum of course.
Over the last few months I have noticed my scrapping has changed, I now love having lots of layers with yummy distressing and inking and making my own flowers is a must (although I have bought some gorgeous Prima ones) so I guess I am leaning towards "Shabby Chic"
With each new page I create I get a great sense of satisfaction and find I can't wait to start a new project, at times even getting out of bed in the middle of the night just to write down ideas, now that is an addiction..........and I love it.
